One day, my left hand started to disobey my brain. When I tried to catch a falling bottle, it never complied with the order. Although it still belong my body, it was hard to say that it was really the one part of me. It tried to act on its way. Soon, it wrote a sentence to show me, I don’t want to involve to you anymore. I am the master of myself.” Embarrassed was me, I could not define who am I after that.

Although this story is a fiction, it can be true for the system of a society. If a member of a group or a society disobeys the rule or the responsibility, the group or the society cannot function at all.

Obviously, a member has a significant role in a group. However, people easily assert that a leader of group has much more cardinal role so they pursue to be a leader. They believe that a leader can do whatever he or she wants; but that’s a dictatorship. In this democratic society each individuals has equality and same weight of importance. As the individuals consist of the whole society -if it is contracted, we can call it as a group-, they perform their responsibility and regard the aim of the group as theirs.

Let’s brush up the story of the left hand. When the left hand denies its responsibility, the body cannot function. Likewise, if a member denies submitting the responsibility, the group which the member belonged cannot fulfill its purpose. Considering what allows people to have meaning is a society and relationships that comprise the society, each individual has to follow their status to preserve the stability of society.

To sum up, individuals who make up a group or a society have to be there because each member has significant roles in what they involved in. If they try to secede from a group, it loses the stability and cannot function well. Therefore, people should perceive where they have to be and do their best at the place.
